Backstage

In a fictive city, a fictive theatre company the size of Toneelgroep Amsterdam fused with Het Toneelhuis, stage productions in a fictive theatre. The Flemish/Dutch mega production Hamlet – prince of Denmark is an enormous success. A five-hour-long theatre spectacle for the whole family. A group of eight actors all have walk-on parts in the production. In backstage we are witness to the goings-on in dressing room of this group during the hundredth Hamlet enactment on a Friday night in December.
